Progress continues at Highlands Middle School, New Caney High School, and the district’s future administration building. Construction on Highlands Middle School is moving forward with the new two-story campus on track to open for the 2027–28 school year. At New Caney High School, work associated with Proposition B projects is ongoing, and construction of the district's future administration building is underway. This facility will provide centralized space for instructional services, student support, and professional development while also freeing up additional classroom capacity at New Caney High School.
