UPDATES:
July, 2020 - Construction is complete and the District has taken ownership of the project. Approximately 75 percent of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment has been delivered. The remaining items have been delayed in delivery due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
December, 2019 - Construction at Woodridge Forest Middle School is 65 percent complete. The exterior masonry is 98 percent complete and the window installation is 75 percent complete. The interior work that includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering is 85 percent complete. The gypsum board installation is 90 percent complete, painting is 30 percent complete, and the ceiling is 15 percent complete.
October, 2019 - Construction of the two-story, 28,000 square-foot addition is approximately 50 percent complete. The PE classroom addition, football field bleacher expansion, and new fire alarm system is complete and currently being used by the District.
March, 2019 - Construction has begun on an expansion of Woodridge Forest Middle School as part of the 2018 bond program approved by voters last May. The expansion will include more classrooms and expanded physical education dressing rooms, adding 360 seats to the school and taking its student capacity to 1,500. The Board of Trustees approved the construction contract with Purcell Construction at the Board’s regular meeting in February.
