UPDATES:
July, 2017 - Final clean up is underway at Kings Manor Elementary on the school's kitchen and cafeteria addition. Also, renovations to existing classroom and office space are complete.
May, 2017 - Work at Kings Manor Elementary School is approximately 60% complete overall. The cafeteria/kitchen addition is dried in and interior finishes are in progress.
April, 2017 - Photo update for renovations/additions at Kings Manor Elementary.
March, 2017 - Work at KME is approximately 50% complete overall. Structural steel, framing, and the roof deck are complete with work continuing on exterior and interior walls.
January, 2017 - Renovations and additions at Kings Manor are approximately 22% complete overall. The driveway and parking expansion are complete, and the foundation for the addition is 90% complete.
October, 2016 - NCISD Director of Facility Planning and Construction Richard Gates reported to the Board at its October regular meeting that renovations and additions at Kings Manor Elementary are approximately 10% complete overall. An expansion of the front driveway is 90% complete. The parking lot expansion is 15% complete and the building foundation 10%. Roof work at Kings Manor is complete.
September, 2016 - NCISD Director of Facility Planning and Construction Richard Gates reported to the Board at its September regular meeting that work on the roof at Kings Manor is approximately 95% complete. Also, excavation for the addition to the school and underground site utilities is underway.
August, 2016 - NCISD Director of Facility Planning and Construction Richard Gates reported to the Board at its August regular meeting that work on the roof at Kings Manor is approximately 75% complete.
July, 2016 - The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees awarded a construction contract to Division 1 Construction for an addition and renovations at Kings Manor Elementary School at its regular meeting July 18. Work on the roof, contracted earlier with Restoration Services, is approximately 20% complete.
May, 2016 - NCISD Director of Facility Planning and Construction Richard Gates reported to the Board at its May regular meeting that the construction drawings for renovations and additions at Kings Manor Elementary are approximately 95% complete. This project is scheduled to go out for bid in June. Also, the Board awarded construction contracts for re-roofing work to Restoration Services, Inc.
March, 2016 - Director of Facility Planning and Construction Richard Gates reported to the Board of Trustees at its March, 2016 regular meeting that the construction drawings for campus renovations and additions are approximately 80% complete. Also, construction drawings for re-roofing the campus are also approximately 80% complete. Bids for the re-roofing construction work are scheduled to go out in April.
February, 2016 - The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees awarded a contract for design services to Kuhn & Associates, Inc. at its February 2016 regular meeting for re-roofing work at three New Caney ISD campuses as part of the 2015 bond package. The work will take place at Crippen Elementary, Kings Manor Elementary, and New Caney High School.
January, 2016 - Construction drawings for renovations/expansion are 30% complete. Construction bids are scheduled to go out in May, 2016.
September, 2015 - The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees approved awarding the contract for design/construction delivery method to VLK Architects for renovation work at Kings Manor Elementary.
June, 2015 - Renovations at Kings Manor Elementary are planned to occur in the first phase of projects associated with the 2015 bond election. Project timeline dates are set for planning and project-management purposes and may be adjusted in response to changing circumstances as work progresses.
