New Caney Independent School District proudly opened Highlands Elementary School to students, Aug. 6, for the 2025-26 school year.
As a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), HES integrates comprehensive STEM education grounded in the engineering design process. Students will engage in hands-on, real-world problem solving to build creativity, resilience, collaboration, and critical thinking—skills essential for success in today’s dynamic world.
New Caney ISD celebrated the new campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Aug. 18, where families, staff, and community members were able to tour the school.
