Construction at Highlands Elementary schools is progressing smoothly. Drymalla Construction was awarded the contract for the new Highlands Middle School at the April Board of Trustees meeting, and work is set to begin this month. A groundbreaking ceremony for the middle school will be held on June 9 at 10 a.m. Highlands Middle is scheduled to open its doors to students for the 2027-28 school year.
Meanwhile, construction on the Highlands Elementary School is also moving forward as planned. The elementary school, which will welcome students for the 2025-26 school year, is scheduled to be completed by July, ensuring it stays on time for its anticipated opening. Both projects reflect the district's ongoing commitment to providing modern, high-quality learning environments for students.
