The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees awarded the contract for construction of the district aquatic center to Drymalla Construction at its May regular meeting. The design phase for the
aquatic center is complete, and construction is scheduled to begin at the end of June with a 13-month planned timeline for completion. Also, the Board awarded construction contracts for re-roofing work at Crippen Elementary to Seabreeze Roofing and for re-roofing work at
Kings Manor Elementary and New Caney High School to Restoration Services, Inc.
NCISD Director of Facility Planning and Construction Richard Gates reported to the Board that the construction drawings for
renovations and additions at Kings Manor Elementary are approximately 95% complete. This project is scheduled to go out for bid in June. Also, demolition at the site of
Elementary School #10 is complete and construction of a field house at
White Oak Middle School is nearing completion.
