UPDATES:

July, 2020 - Construction is complete and the District has taken ownership of the project. Approximately 75 percent of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment has been delivered. The remaining items have been delayed in delivery due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 



February, 2020 - Woodridge Forest Middle School construction is 80-percent complete overall with exterior work at 95 percent complete and interior work at 90 percent complete. The interior finishes are complete except the flooring and ceiling tile. The HVAC, electrical and plumbing are 95 percent complete. The project is on schedule for completion May 2020 and for furniture to be delivered in June 2020.






December, 2019 - Construction at Woodridge Forest Middle School is 65 percent complete. The exterior masonry is 98 percent complete and the window installation is 75 percent complete. The interior work that includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering is 85 percent complete. The gypsum board installation is 90 percent complete, painting is 30 percent complete, and the ceiling is 15 percent complete.



October, 2019 - Construction of the two-story, 28,000 square-foot addition is approximately 50 percent complete. The PE classroom addition, football field bleacher expansion, and new fire alarm system is complete and currently being used by the District.





July, 2019 - Classroom additions have their underground drainage and the concrete foundation complete. The structural steel is 50 percent complete. The PE addition has its underground drainage and concrete foundation complete. The masonry is 98 percent complete, waterproofing is 90 percent complete, roof is 90 percent complete, and the exterior insulation is 70 percent complete. The bleacher expansion foundation is 50 percent complete. The existing campus new fire alarm is 39 percent complete and the Acrovyn wall cover is 10 percent complete.


 March, 2019 - Construction has begun on an expansion of Woodridge Forest Middle School as part of the 2018 bond program approved by voters last May. The expansion will include more classrooms and expanded physical education dressing rooms, adding 360 seats to the school and taking its student capacity to 1,500. The Board of Trustees approved the construction contract with Purcell Construction at the Board’s regular meeting in February.





June, 2018 - The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees awarded a contract to IBI Architects for services to design and construct an expansion at Woodridge Forest Middle School at its regular meeting in June. The project is part of the bond program approved by voters in May 2018.
