Board approves contract for architectural services for replacement middle school; Brookwood Forest ES on track to open in August

The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees awarded a contract to IBI Architects for services to design and construct a new middle school facility at its regular meeting in July. The facility, part of the 2018 bond program approved by voters in May, will be a replacement campus for Keefer Crossing Middle School. In June, the Board approved a contract to IBI Architects for services to design and construct the expansion at Woodridge Forest Middle School, also part of the 2018 bond program. The Board has also approved contracts for parking lost expansions (2015 bond program) at the district's transportation facility and stadium (Brooks & Sparks) and for construction (ICI Construction) for elementary renovations (2015 bond program).

The construction of Brookwood Forest Elementary School (2015 bond program) is nearing completion. Landscaping and interior finishes are underway as the school prepares to open for the 2018-19 year. Also, renovations at New Caney High School, New Caney Middle School, and several elementary schools continue.
